Eve 6 News Update: New guitarist in early '08 and "working their asses off" on a new album

Thanks to the Anchorage press for the blurb-ish article with some quotes from Max and some new information (kind of).

The juicy quotes from our favorite lyricist Max:

“Tony and I have been playing together for a couple years, taking it slow, and the Eve 6 question came up a couple times,” said Collins. “Until recently we didn’t want to use that name and put that pressure on it.”

An album is forthcoming, but Collins politely declined to define a time frame.
“We’re gonna start working our asses off very shortly,” he said. “I don’t want to put a date on that because I’d be wrong.”

The article also states:

Matt Bair has been filling in for Siebels in the recent spate of Eve 6 shows, but the replacement is temporary and Collins and Fagenson hope to find a permanent guitarist in early 2008.

So, not much real news in there, but good to see they plan on working their asses off pretty soon. Not much more to say here, but be sure to discuss the news in the Eve 6 Media HQ forums

Another new show (Louisville, KY) and add the Eve 6 widget to your page!!!!

Well, who ever thought that there would be a day that Eve 6 had a Myspace page and the tour section was filling up with dates? Although I can't make it out to any of those shows, I am still pumped up that Eve 6 fans who have stuck through it all in the Midwest will finally be able to hear their favorite tunes LIVE once again (or for the first time ever).

The newest show announced is on 1/26/08 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, KY. Click here for more information. REMEMBER - tix go on sale on 12/27/07 at 10 AM!

Also, please be sure to add the Eve 6 widget to your Myspace/facebook/ whatever other website you kiddies visit nowadays. I will embed the widget below. You just have to click "GRAB IT" and follow the instructions in order to post it around the net. Have fun with it and spread the word!!!

Video AND Audio from the UMW Comeback show now on the site

I guess in this day and age of YouTube, this update isn't really a big deal because the files have been up there for months now.

However, we here at the HQ finally got around to linking to the hard copies of the files on the site. Check them out and save them to your hard drive for archival purposes in the video section of the site.

The audio files of those songs were kindly ripped by Alex (Vervus22 on the message boards) and they are available here. Be sure to download the version of "Anything at All" from there because Alex has combined the audio from the two different versions of video that we were able to secure in order to complete the full song (the video version downloadable from here is cut short because my video camera ran out of storage space).

Hopefully we will have more of this kind of stuff from the upcoming shows (hint hint people).
